LET'S WASH EXTERIOR CLEANING

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: 1 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern all quotations, bookings and services supplied by Let's Wash Exterior Cleaning ("the Company"). By accepting a quotation or permitting work to commence, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

"Customer" means the person or organisation requesting the services.

"Company" means Let's Wash Exterior Cleaning.

"Services" means all exterior cleaning work carried out by the Company.

2. Quotations

2.1 All quotations are provided free of charge unless otherwise agreed.

2.2 Quotations remain valid for 30 days.

2.3 Quotations are based upon information available at the time of inspection or supplied by the Customer.

2.4 If additional work becomes necessary due to circumstances not visible during the quotation, no additional work will be undertaken without the Customer's approval.

3. Booking

A booking is confirmed once accepted by the Customer and acknowledged by the Company.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where it is unsafe or impractical to carry out the work.

4. Access

The Customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to all work areas.

The Customer shall ensure that:

  • Gates are unlocked where required.
  • Vehicles are moved where necessary.
  • Water and electricity are available where required.
  • Children and pets are kept away from the work area.

5. Weather

Exterior cleaning is weather dependent.

The Company reserves the right to postpone work where weather conditions could affect safety or the quality of the finished result.

6. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work.

Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, debit card, credit card and other approved payment methods.

Commercial customers may be offered alternative payment terms where agreed in writing.

Late payments may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by Irish law.

The Company reserves the right to suspend future work until outstanding balances have been paid.

7. Existing Defects

The Company is not responsible for damage resulting from defects existing before work commenced, including but not limited to:

  • Loose render
  • Loose pointing
  • Loose roof tiles
  • Weak mortar
  • Cracked concrete
  • Defective gutters
  • Faulty downpipes
  • Perished window seals
  • Rotten timber
  • Defective paint
  • Previous poor workmanship
  • Structural movement
  • Hidden defects

8. Cleaning Results

The Company will use reasonable care and professional methods at all times.

Exterior cleaning removes dirt, algae, moss, lichen and similar contamination.

However, the Company cannot guarantee removal of:

  • Permanent staining
  • Rust staining
  • Oxidation
  • Etching
  • Deep weathering
  • Paint failure
  • Surface discolouration

Natural ageing cannot be reversed by cleaning.

9. Roof Cleaning

Roof cleaning is carried out using methods appropriate to the roof type and condition.

The Company cannot accept responsibility for leaks or failures caused by pre-existing defects or aged roofing materials.

10. Soft Washing and Chemical Treatments

Cleaning products and biocides are used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Customers must keep children and pets away from treated areas until advised they are safe to return.

Some treatments continue working for several weeks after application.

11. Gutters

Gutter cleaning removes accessible debris.

The Company cannot guarantee the correction of defects caused by damaged guttering, poor installation or inadequate drainage design.

12. Windows

Pure water window cleaning may occasionally reveal failed seals, defective vents or existing glazing defects.

Minor spotting caused by defective frames or leaking vents is outside the Company's control.

13. Photographs

The Company may take photographs before, during and after work.

These photographs may be retained for:

  • Quality records
  • Insurance purposes
  • Evidence of completed work

Marketing photographs will never identify a Customer without permission.

14. Customer Complaints

Any concerns should be reported within 48 hours of completion.

The Company must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify the issue before another contractor is instructed.

15. Cancellation

Customers are requested to provide at least 24 hours' notice where possible.

Where materials have been specially purchased or significant travel costs incurred, reasonable charges may apply.

16. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control including severe weather, flooding, fire, road closures, equipment failure, illness or other unforeseen events.

17. Commercial Customers

Commercial customers are responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions have been obtained before work commences.

Where site-specific safety procedures apply, these must be communicated to the Company before work begins.

18. Liability

The Company maintains appropriate Public Liability Insurance.

Nothing within these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable law, the Company's liability shall not exceed the value of the services supplied.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
